Directions: From St. Louis. Take I-55 South to Highway 67 South
(Bonne Terre Park Hills Exit). Then Hwy 67 South to Highway 221 (approximately
38 miles). Turn right on Highway 221. Go through Doe Run, MO to continue
going approximately 9 miles. Highway 221 turns to the left. Turn
left and continue until you reach Pilot Knob. Highway 221 ends at Pilot
Knob. At Pilot Knob take Highway 21 South (left) to Lesterville.
Just as you arrive in Lesterville, look for Lenny's convenience store
on your left. Turn left at Lenny's on to Peola Road. When you
get to another Peola road sign telling you to turn right, DON'T
TURN RIGHT AND GO OVER THE NEW BRIDGE. KEEP GOING STRAIGHT AHEAD ON
THE GRAVEL ROAD. If you go straight ahead the road turns
into Hyatt's Creek Road. You will take a sharp turn to the right
at the low water bridge over the river. Watch for the Bearcat
signs and follow along the river for 3 miles to Bearcat Campground.

Take 44 East to St. James. Take exit 208 toward Cuba/Owensville. Turn
right on Highway 19/East Main Street. Follow 19 to 49 South, follow
to Lesterville. Drive thru Lesterville. After you cross the bridge that
goes over the river we’re the second turn on the right--County
Road #364. (Just before Lenny’s liquor and convenience store)—If
you pass Lenny’s you went too far. Go until you see a sign that
says Peola Road turns right and Hyatt’s Creek Road is straight
ahead. GO STRAIGHT. (Do not turn right and cross new bridge.) Follow
gravel road for about 3 miles and we’re on the right.
From Kansas
City:
Take
70 East toward Jefferson City, then Take exit 128A to 63 South toward
Rolla/St. James. When 63S forks, take the left to 68 toward St. James.
