something totally unique, check out the lapidary work of Mark and Rita Hadley.
Their creations are fashioned from Missouri Dreamstone. There is only
one known source of Dreamstone which is found only among the precambrian
knobs in the St. Francis mountain uplifts of the eastern Ozarks. "This
stone was in my backyard. I walked over it for 31 years. I had no idea it was there until I saw myself digging rocks there in a dream. I discovered it the next morning, in January 1998." Mark Hadley |

our old time ice cream parlor when you're here. It's located next
to the Post Office in the heart of downtown Lesterville! They have
ice cream cones, sundaes, malts, shakes, floats, and many flavors to choose
from! They're also serving delicious food since they expanded last
year. If you love historic photos and genealogy, talk to Donna Foster,
she has tons of old photos and is the resident expert about our area history. Plus, she's just the nicest person you'll ever meet! Meeting Donna is reason enough to stop in. |

Lodge - Wilderness Lodge
was built in 1927 by a wealthy sportsman as a private residence. The majority
of the cabins were built in the 1970's, when the Lodge became a commercial
venture. The Lodge is the perfect retreat from urban sprawl. Canoeing,
rafting and tubing are available. Other activities include hiking and hayrides.
On-ground activities available are the pool, hot tub, and tennis courts.
The Lodge restaurant offers sit-down dining. They're open year round.
Having dinner at the Lodge is a real treat when we have the opportunity.
